homeschooling suggestions?

i`m 14 years old and i want to be homeschooled my freshman and sophmore years of high school (9&&10) and my parents are really uptight with the money issue so i`m looking for homeschooling thats free and that i can do at home or go to a place in the mornings and stay til` i get my work done or something of that sort. my parents also both work from 7-4:30 or 6:00 so they can`t stay home with me but i stay home alone when i come home from school or when i`m on breaks. i`m trying to convince them that home schooling is a better alternative to public schools, but the big issue they are stuck on is the money part. i live in Tucson Arizona 85741 area. and if you have any tips or suggestions please feel free to tell me, it would be greatly appreciated(:

Well, assuming it would be legal for you to stay home without your parents all day every day, you should look into…

- Borrowing books from your school district
- Borrowing or buying second-hand books and other materials from other local homeschoolers (or you can buy used materials over the internet)
- Making heavy use of any local libraries
- Using the internet for research

Homeschooling doesn’t have to involve expensive things like tutors, textbooks, or pre-packaged curricula. If you or your parents aren’t sure what you should be studying in 9th and 10th grade, I’m sure someone in your local school district could give you a copy of the guidelines, or you might be able to find that information in someplace like your local public library.
